Since 2009, SERES has provided engineering technical support and staff to the 402nd Maintenance Wing to evaluate needs and execute multiple projects involving corrosion prevention and control; process-related ergonomics; pollution prevention (P2); and process-oriented and energy efficiency enhancements.
Since 2009, SERES has provided engineering technical support and staff to the 402nd Maintenance Wing (402 MXSG/MXDEU) to evaluate needs and execute multiple projects involving corrosion prevention and control; process-related ergonomics; pollution prevention (P2); and process-oriented and energy efficiency enhancements. The projects focused on improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of the products, equipment, and processes used in performance of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex (WR-ALC) mission to reduce environmental impacts and costs associated with aircraft maintenance. Major projects and services provided include:
P2 services involving comprehensive P2 Work Plans, in addition to numerous project/test plans, rough-order-magnitude, cost benefit analysis, and return on investment analyses for execution of the overarching WR-ALC P2 activities
Ergonomics Program development and administration through assessment and evaluation of workstation and work activities utilizing a dedicated team of experienced/certified health and safety technicians
Cradle to grave hazardous waste stream management
Reduction of annual maintenance costs by approximately $3M through Value Engineering
Improvements of RCRA hazardous waste Initial Accumulation Point (IAP) layout and design, ergonomic efficiency of waste bag removal and handling, and standardizing and optimizing IAP area signage
Environmental compliance services for hazardous air pollutants, hazardous spill and stormwater pollution prevention
Development of green options in support of aircraft maintenance processes.
